The 2021 G2E is scheduled for October 4-7 this year. The Global Gaming Expo, G2E, has unveiled that this year’s keynote speakers will be Hard Rock International’s Jim Allen, Bill Hornbuckle of MGM Resort, and Matt Maddox, the CEO of Wynn Resorts.
The three CEOs will propagate the session’s agenda and share their insights on the industry’s recovery from the pandemic from 4th to 7th October in Las Vegas. The future of the gaming industry is also essential on this year’s G2E agenda.
The leaders will appear for the first time on the same bench as they discuss, ‘the ever-evolving commercial and tribal gaming landscape” as keynote speakers in 2021 G2E. The entire expo seeks to address matters revolving around resilience, innovations, and leadership in the gaming industry and how these factors can boost a fast-growing environment. Nevada governor Steve Sisolak is among the speakers invited to the expo.
G2E is organized by RX, Reed Exhibitions, and presented by AGA, American Gaming Association. The gaming enterprise and president of AGA, Bill Miller, seeks to harness innovation and leadership to boost the industry’s future growth.
American Gaming Association CEO, Bill Miller, said in a press statement, “We’re excited to welcome a robust lineup of the top names and brightest minds in this industry.” He further added that “These collective insights couldn’t be more important as we forge the path ahead after one of the most challenging years in gaming history.”
2021 G2E is scheduled to go down between October 4th to 7th at Venetian Expo, popularly known as Sands Expo and Convention Center. Organizers approve the entrance of new members only after making a successful online application with attendance confirmation.
Though the expo starts on the 4th, keynote sessions will begin on the 5th. The session will begin with a joint appearance by the Nevada boss, Gov. Steve Sisolak, and the US Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev. These state officials are scheduled to shed light on their state’s recovery status and the impact on the gaming industry in the recovery from the pandemic.
Nevada has experienced one of the most incredible travel plans as Covid-19 has brought the economy to its knees. There were so many events and travel cancellations, some of which were canceled within days’ notice. 2020 G2E was also canceled. More people continue coming to the strip in Las Vegas with series of record-breaking months.
Nevada is still a highly affected area. It was one of the first delta variant hotspots in the US. Sisolak, in response, reinstated the wearing of masks in a public gathering in high transmission areas.
“Businesses and residents in counties with substantial or high transmission are strongly urged to adopt the changes as soon as possible,” said a statement from the governor’s office.
Famous gaming leaders supported the governor’s move in aid to stop the spread and effects of covid-19.
Wynn casino boss endorsed the governor in a statement reading, “We will follow the Governor’s and Control Board’s directive and require all guests and employees to wear masks indoors, which we will communicate with signage and masks at entrance doors to the resort.“
NMG counterpart wrote in a statement, “Nothing is more important than the health and safety of guests, employees, and our community. We continually evaluate and update our policies based on the latest information and guidance from health experts and public officials.”
On top of the major issues listed for discussion, the 2021 G2E will cover diversity in gaming. Contessa Brewer, a CNBC journalist, will moderate the Oct 5th and October 6th sessions with Allen, Maddox, and Hornbuckle.
The October 5th panelists include MGM Resorts Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer, Jyoti Chopra, Approve Gandhi, Senior Vice-President at Marriott International, and Suzanne Clark from US Chamber of Commerce. The organizing team will announce the 4th session soon.
