The American Gaming Association (AGA), has released a report stating that USA online casino games revenue for 2024 was at its highest levels to date. Online casino revenue was up 28.7% for the full year and 33.1% in Q4.

According to the AGA Revenue tracker, the iGaming sector boasted a larger growth rate with almost $2.4 billion in Q4 revenue and over $8.4 billion in revenue for the entire year of 2024. Those numbers are single-quarter and single-year records for the iGaming industry so far.

AGA President and CEO Bill Miller expressed his enthusiasm about the emergence of diverse gambling options available in the US market,

“As we build on this success, the AGA remains committed to fostering additional growth that benefits consumers, operators, and communities alike,” Miller added.

The AGA further broke down the numbers of non-tribal revenue totals for 2024 by jurisdiction, showing comparisons to both Q4 2023 and full year 2023. The seven legal iGaming states plus Nevada experienced some of the largest increases in both observations.

Nevada’s numbers are a good example of how iGaming impacts the gambling revenue of states that have both traditional and online casinos. In Nevada, online casino real money options licensed operators offer online poker platforms along with digital table games, live dealer games, and online slot games.

Meanwhile, Connecticut saw its commercial gaming revenue increase by an exponentially larger percentage. For a state that has far less of a population and receives comparatively far less impact from tourism, their figures are a telling sign of what online casinos can do to improve a state’s revenue.

Given that millions of tourists frequent Nevada each year, the same comparisons hold true for states with larger populations like Michigan and New Jersey.
