Colville Tribe is considering putting up a golf course, a concert venue, and a 100-capacity housing development plan on its 640-acre piece of land near Azwell between Chelan and Pateros across Highway 97.

The tribe announced last month on 6th that it has settled on its preliminary site review, MA-18. The site hosts River Columbia and with a direct entry to Chelan and the rest of Okanogan County. Colville Tribal Federation Corporations basis operations in coulee Dam, Manson, and Omak.

“Colville Tribal Federation Corporation, MA-18 has all the features we are looking for when it comes to economic development. After discussing with our architects, we are confident that MA-18 could be the home to our new flagship resort, attracting business and tourism from around the Northwest with our state-of-the-art casino, golf course, and concert venue.”  – Colville Tribal Federation Corporation CEO, Kary Nichols

Affordable Housing

Besides the casino and resort services, the CEO, Kary, said that the housing menace in the region is worrying and will thus build 100 lots offering quality affordable housing to residents.

“Housing is becoming increasingly scarce throughout the region and the country. MA-18 gives us the opportunity to provide affordable housing for many families while also giving them access to all the great amenities we have planned for MA-18.” – Kary Nichols

The chief operating officer of Colville Gaming LLC. Tony Posey noted that this housing facility would not be like the one in Manson hosting Deepwater Amphitheater and Mill Bay Casino, partially owned by the Colville tribe and partially by other investors. Tony confirmed that this residential property would be owned almost entirely by Colville Tribe. He also said that CTFC was exhausted by lawsuits arising from ‘fractioned’ properties.

“Fractionated ownership and frivolous lawsuits have made it impossible for CTFC to utilize the Manson property to its fullest… MA-18 is owned almost entirely by the Colville Tribes, giving us greater flexibility and giving the Tribes a larger share of the profits.”  – Tony Posey, COO Colville Gaming LLC.

Increased Job Opportunities

The gaming boss confirmed that it proceeds from the CTFC enterprise drive the governmental programs through the exemplary firefighting efforts management of surrounding forested areas.

“We look forward to the opportunity to bring more jobs, more housing, and more tourism to our community, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new resort.”
– Tony Posey

CTFC alone has employed more than 500 people and is a federally chartered corporation overseeing economic development in Colville Confederate tribes. Its designated areas of work are gaming and wood products. Colville Gaming LLC is, therefore, a liability company managed and owned by CTFC.

CTFC came back from the Covid forced closure with force. For the first time, the cooperation had to open after the closure. The board for all 12 tribes and casino properties resumed operations in May of last year.

“We want to be the right place, for the right time… Our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our team members, valued guests, and communities.

“All twelve casinos are up and running, with strict adherence to covid-19 regulation guides. Our team members and patrons have been diligent in following the safety standards CTFC has put in place for the last year. The corporation first conducts general body screens. The tribe leadership allows vaccinated staff to negate wearing masks but those not vaccinated continue wearing masks. “We are confident that we will continue to be the right place for the right time.” – Kary Nichols

CTFC has a sole responsibility to promote health and instigate wellness measures in society. This setup to build 100 houses and boost the corporation’s profitability is excellent.
