Online casinos in New Jersey have recorded 1st in revenue for 2025 in the Garden State, reaching $221.6 million for 2025. According to a report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the iGaming numbers for January 2025 are 20.9% more than last year, and falls just 2.8% short of December 2024’s $228 million record.
Given that January is notoriously a slow month, even for Atlantic City operators, the online casino games market is off to a faster start than it was at this point last year. Operators recorded a $183.3 million in January 2024, which is a 20.9% year-over-year increase.
Moreover, this was the second time iGaming drew the highest gambling revenue in a single month in New Jersey; the first time it was done was achieved in October 2024.

Breaking down iGaming numbers even further, other authorized games such as online slot games, drew $218.9 million, up 21.1%. Meanwhile, online poker revenue also increased by 8.1% to $2.7 million.
FanDuel and Golden Nugget Atlantic City took top spot with $49.7 million in revenue, a rise of 26.4%. DraftKings and Resorts Casino Hotel, which led in December, slipped to second on $44.1 million.
Other operators to experience sizable growth included Hard Rock Bet at 58.7%, making $12.5m, Golden Nugget at 77%, making $10.5m and Caesars Palace, up 43.5% to $14.8m.
Experts are keen to point out that the numbers garnered by iGaming during January is quite notable, since January is normally considered as the offseason for both online and traditional casinos.
Since the summer ended, the verticals between online and conventional casinos have been in lock-step with each other. Back in December 2024, Atlantic City properties finished roughly $3 million ahead of their online casino counterparts.
Moreover, experts projected that in the coming four months, online casinos can put the vertical with traditional casinos at an arm’s length before the summer season starts.
