The launch date of Table Mountain’s new hotel resort and casino in Friant has been determined. The project has been in development since 2019.
The federally recognized tribe announced in a news statement dated June 29 that the new central California location is only a few yards away from its 70,000-square-foot Table Mountain Casino, where it began gaming 35 years ago with a bingo hall.
The band stated that the casino in this new 600,000-square-foot structure will have high ceilings, chandeliers, the Dragon’s Den VIP high-stakes section, 2,000 slot machines, 33 gaming tables, and a VIP high-stakes room; named “The Den.”
Throughout the construction period, tribe officials have maintained silence over the opening date. However, a promotional film posted to social media by the company on Monday morning stated that the casino would open on July 21.
The Table Mountain Casino had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of its new structure, which had been in the works for a long time and endured a global pandemic and an unsteady economy.
The new resort
When it opens to the public on Friday, the new casino will contain over 2,400 slot machines and 33 table games across 110,000 square feet.
Table Mountain Rancheria has stated that smoking will not be permitted at the future Table Mountain Casino Resort. It will have suites with San Joaquin Valley views, a Japanese garden, and the Sukai Teppan restaurant on the top floor.
According to the tribe, its Eagles Landing Steakhouse and Blue Oak Grille will expand dining options on-site. In addition, Twisted Noodle, 777 Tacos, Mangia Italian, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be at the on-site food court.
The Dragon’s Den is a themed gaming room with 107 high-limit slot machines and six tables.
Dragon’s Den and high-limit rooms provide extra seclusion. You may find Italian food, tacos, burgers, and pho in the food court.
The event center has space for 2,100 persons. Blake Shelton, a country music musician, had a stage constructed at the event facility.
The building also contains several restaurants, including the Blue Oak Grille and the Eagles Landing Steakhouse, a local favorite with indoor and outdoor terrace dining. In addition, there is a food court close to the event center, a vast area that can be divided into four sections, similar to a conference center.
Twenty-four miles north of Fresno is the new Table Mountain Casino Resort. According to the tribe, it will feature a 23,000-square-foot entertainment and convention facility that can be divided into four rooms to accommodate various events, such as wedding receptions, business meetings, and conferences.
In 1987, the Table Mountain Casino was a modest bingo hall. Since then, it has been an integral part of the local community, participating in events, collaborating with numerous school districts, and contributing to infrastructure initiatives such as widening Friant Road in front of the new casino.
Changes will be made to the casino so that the tribal government can utilize it. Casino operations at Table Mountain Rancheria are overseen by the Monache tribe and the Chukchansi band of Yokuts.
Table Mountain desires to establish a resort-style holiday by constructing a hotel and various eateries, such as the Eagle Springs Golf and Country Club across the street from the casino and The Beach Club, a tiki-themed restaurant in Friant that serves burgers, tacos, and more.
The CEO of Table Mountain Casino Resort, John Dinius, reportedly told a local television station, KFSN-TV, that the new building has exceeded even his expectations and will propel the central California tribal casino sector to new heights.
Assemblymember Jim Patterson remarked;
“When you consider what has transpired here, this politician is, for once, dumbfounded.”
“Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment,” Patterson said, adding that the launch of the new casino represents a turning point for what was once a simple bingo hall.
