Pawn Stars

Pawn Stars

If you’re traveling to Las Vegas, to get a taste of the fun that the Sin City is promising, what better slot machine to play at a casino, than one that’s branded and based on one of the well-known families from the region. I’m not talking about the mobsters, just of Pawn Stars, the TV show whose action takes place in Las Vegas. It’s a branded release, and it’s coming from Bally, being available both at land and online casinos.

Featuring the well-known characters of the TV show, Pawn Stars will use their photos in combinations forming on 30 fixed lines, while 5 reels will spin to get you what you need. With free spins, scatter symbols, high multipliers, wilds and other bonus features, it’s a game with a lot to offer beyond its icons. Its best prizes will go even up to $45,000 for its highest paying symbols.

Betting

Bet wise, you can go quite low, which is a good idea if all you want is to have some fun. $0.30 will be enough to get the reels spinning, but at that point you’re using $0.01 per line, and the rewards will not be very high. You can make the game exciting to play by increasing the total bet as much as you can afford, its highest limit being $450 ($15 per line).

Pawn Stars Jackpot

The best winning combination that you can get will be using the History Channel logo, and five of those together will offer up to $7,500. Some wild multipliers can also get involved, though only during free games. Obviously, you can also get multiple wins at the same time. The Pawn Bonus feature does even better, since by offering up to 3,000 coins it can pay $45,000 in one go.

Special Features

Bally made sure to turn this theme into something good for those that are fans, so there are several good features involved and they could make the game profitable if luck helps out a bit as well.

Stacked Wild Symbols

Showing the Pawn Sign in them, the stacked wilds are going to be replacements for most symbols, the regular ones at least. The middle columns are the only ones that can get these symbols. They’re regular wilds in the base game, and 2x wilds during free spins.

Pawn Bonus Game

This is a feature that you trigger via Pawn Bonus icons, the ones that are showing us the four main characters of the Pawn Stars series. You get these on the reels 2, 3 and 4, and with all three present you get into the feature.

Once inside, you’re going to be asked to make a selection, and in exchange the game will pay anywhere from 200x to 3,000x the line bet. You may take the offer, or you can ask for another one. When you accept one of the offers, the feature ends.

Free Games

The Free Games symbol has its own logo, so it’s going to be easy to find. Once again, there are three that you need to get, this time on reels 1, 3 and 5. Together they trigger 10 free spins for you, where a 2x stacked wild is available as well.

Design

The theme of Pawn Stars is based on the similarly named TV show, being a branded release that’s based on the History Channel’s work. The stars of the show are the three members of a family (grandpa, father and son), which are in the pawn shop business in Las Vegas. The fourth major member of the cast is Chumlee, and he’s on the reels of this game next to the family. These four, along with images used for the features and the top-paying History Channel logo, are the noteworthy icons that you’re going to see inside. The others are mostly Royals.

The game relies on several real photos, either of the pawn shop in the background, or of the members of the cast on the reels. The least fun ones are the Royals, but the game is playable even with them in play.

Summary

Pawn Stars should give you some cool action, thanks to the branded story they’re telling, particularly if you enjoyed the show as well. Features and payouts also seem to be decent.
