Genesis Gaming is a big company, and it took them only a decade to get to the size that they’re at today, with one of the largest collection of slot machines around. They have over 200 video slots that they’ve created in this short period, making it a top contender for the likes of Microgaming or NetEnt even.
The developer has offices in London, Las Vegas, Vancouver (Canada), Taipei (Taiwan), Manila (The Philippines) and Hong Kong (China). They’ve grown a lot since 2008, and they’ve managed to do this by offering high quality games and by partnering with a lot of casinos and platforms. They cover not online online and mobile casinos, but also land-based operators. Genesis has titles both for social gaming and for real money.
One of the main gaming licenses which allows Genesis to offer content online is the one from Alderney’s jurisdiction, while for UK they obtained the license from the notoriously tough local Gambling Commission. Both are good gaming licenses, and player fairness is at least in part assured thanks to them.
Genesis Gaming has been founded in 2008, so just 10 years ago, by Steven Meistrich and Scott Sims. By 2012, they were already launching their 50th video slot, a major milestone for any company, and particularly for a new one. That same year they opened offices in London and Vancouver, while also signing an agreement to supply IGT with exclusive content.
2014 was another major year for them, as they both announced their Remote Gaming Server for Social Games, and reached the 150th game delivered milestone. March 2015 was big as well, as they obtained their UK license at that time.
During the next couple of years, they started participating more and more at expos, like ICE and G2E. Several nominations for various awards have also come in the last couple of years, a recognition of their efforts in this industry.
In June 2018, they announced their new approach to gaming, with their Total Solution, which would cover everything, from its game catalog, to the features and tools that the casinos and players alike could benefit from. They also announced that progressive jackpot and huge wins would be part of all their games from now on, the Savannah King slot being the first to benefit from this policy.
With over 200 video slots released so far, Genesis Gaming is one of the most experienced developers of such games for the online market. I found their slot machines easy on the eyes, filled with good features, and particularly lately the potential payouts have been amazing as well.
If you’re especially interested in Asian-related games, they have a big collection of slot machines which is inspired and dedicated to that part of the world and to China in particular. Shanghai Night, God of Cookery, Da Hong Bao or Year of the Dog, these are only some of the slots launched for that category, and just in the last year or so.
If we look at the more Western approach to slot machines themes, you will get plenty of slot machines for that side as well. Whether it’s Mexican style (Tres Huevos), African savanna (Savanna King – Jackpot) or criminality (Bounty Hunter), there is a varied mix of stories being told.
Moving on to gameplay, I’ve seen a lot of games from them using the All Pays system, with ways to win, but there are even more with regular bet lines. The mix of features is excellent and quite varied, so they’re not just cloning their games to help them launch more titles. Wilds, multipliers, Re-spins with locked wins, bonus wheels, free spins, scatters and sticky wilds are only some of the options you get.
The games which are currently getting more attention include Savanna King – Jackpot, thanks to its huge payout potential, along with titles like Robyn, Gods of Giza, Robyn and Ragnarok. If you’d rather try out something Asian-style, then Wu Xing seems to be favored right now from that category.
Not only does Genesis offer a huge collection of video slots, but they also have on average one of the highest RTP figures for them. It’s enough to mention that I’ve counted a total of 39 video slots which have an RTP of 97% or higher, which would be about 20% of their collection right now.
As for the absolute top paying games, the first 5 right now would be Lucky Dragon Boat (97.56%), Fortune Turtle (97.40%), Lion’s Fortune (97.40%), Unicorn Groove (97.39%) and Mirror Magic (97.34%).
