WGS Technology Slots

WGS Technology is a company that’s based in Antigua and Barbuda, and they have a long history behind them. Not all of their history is under this name though, and as you will learn from our article, they’ve had two other names over the years. The company has a decent selection of casino games to offer, as well  as their own software. They don’t have as many casinos using their software as there were in the past, but they seem to be an especially good pick for US players.

What started out initially under the name Odds On Gaming, designers of game software but also a company which offered e-money transfers. Then, it went through a merger with Harbour Gaming and from this resulted a new company called Vegas Technology. To confuse matters even further, they then chose to change their name for a third time, and this is how they turned into WGS Technology Software Solutions. In case you were wondering what WGS stands for, it comes from Wager Gaming Software.

Under the name of Vegas Technology, the company was especially well known, particularly since they had casinos which accepted US-based players. Since the recent changes in US gambling laws, the company has lost a bit of ground, but these days are coming back and they’re once again available in that country.

I’ve found close to 40 games currently available in the Slots category, but WGS Technology also has a variety of other table and card games to offer via their software. For now though, let’s take a look at their slot machines.

I think you will be able to find something interesting, if you enjoy your slot machines, as their collection might be small, but it’s well designed. The graphics are slightly dated in some cases, but they’re not unpleasant. Theme wise, you can get a 3 reel slot which is inspired by the mountains and wildlife (Trail Blazer), a video slot which uses a Jules Verne novel (20,000 Leagues) and another which appears to be inspired by the Netherlands (Hurdy Gurdy).

For the features of their slot machines, you might not expect much from a 3-reel slot like Trail Blazer, but the others can be quite interesting. From wilds, to scatters, multipliers and bonus games, they have a little bit of everything to offer.

Finally, when it comes to the rewards given in their games, they’re not shy about using jackpots of considerable value. Payouts of 5,000x are typical for the slots they have in their collection at the moment.

I’ve discovered several well known games from WGS, which helped make them famous over the years. Titles like Dragon Master and even 20,000 Leagues were widely appreciated when they came out. I’ve also enjoyed their 3-reel classic Trail Blazer, along with Sumo.

Highest RTP Games

While WGS Technology has a decent collection of games out right now, we only know the RTP for a couple of them. Plenty of those titles have a below average RTP, often under 95%, but I’ve discovered a couple of decent ones as well. I’d suggest you check out Doctor Love for one, with its 96.80% RTP, while Dragon Master is set to 95.42%.
